Tropheops sp. 'red fin'


The males have a orange/yellow body with black barring along the body. A dominant male will show a strong black around the face, some showing specks of blue. They also have highlights of black in their dorsal, anal and tail fins. Depending on locale some Red Fin will retain a black stripe in on dorsal fins from when they were juveniles (Lundu and Usisya).

Females retain most of their juvenile colors. Staying a beige color with dominant females often showing barring along their body. They can show minute blue specks at the top of their tails and at the end of the dorsal fin.
